Kipp & Zonen CMP/SMP Pyranometers
The CMP/SMP pyranometer is an instrument for measuring the solar irradiance. The thermopile sensor construction measures the solar energy that is received from the total solar spectrum and the whole hemisphere (180 degrees field of view). The output is expressed in Watts per meter square. The CMP / SMP pyranometer is designed for continuous indoor and outdoor use. The CMP versions span from CMP3 (second class) to CMP22 (secondary standard). The output is in Microvolts.
The SMP series (Smart sensors) have digital outputs (Modbus/RS485) and either 4-20mA or 0-1 Volts. This togehter with temperasture corrected measurement data makes this a superior sensor choice.
